Alexandra is located in the Central Otago region of New Zealand. Alexandra is the main town on the Clutha Riverand is the center for stone fruit, particularly golden apricots. An extension of New Zealand 's developing hydro electric dams along the Clutha River have formed Lake Roxburgh and Lake Dunstan. These lakes offer exceptional recreational activities, from power boating and fishing to windsurfing and sailing in the Alexandra New Zealand region.
